Logicalis Collaborates with Oracle – Pledges more Products, Better Value and Greater Cohesion

, Dec 10, 2020

London, UK - 07 November 2020 - Logicalis UK, the infrastructure and service provider and an OPN member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), has extended its relationship with Oracle to solve three major problems for its clients: giving them a fuller range of technology options, more informed guidance on moving to the cloud and better use of their existing technology. The relationship extends Logicalis’ Oracle coverage, already offered in Ireland and Europe.

The move shows a new direction for Logicalis as it positions itself to take advantage of changing conditions in the enterprise technology market, which call for a new type of service provider. Logicalis’ wider product portfolio will complement its existing knowledge of running data centres and infrastructure and ease the path of companies looking to migrate and mix new cloud services.

In September 2020, Logicalis announced that it has added Oracle’s full product offering to its range of hardware and software offerings. The additional technology gives Logicalis’ enterprise clients more options to choose Oracle products that complement their existing investments.

The third objective of deepening and widening the collaboration, from Logicalis’s perspective, is to turbo charge the productivity of each client’s existing IT machinery.

According to Logicalis own research, many companies waste the potential of their existing technology because they are unaware of its full range of abilities. This means they might buy a brand new device management system when they already have that as a feature within an existing application.

‘We are not talking about sweating assets here,’ said Mark Benson, platform head of business development at Logicalis UK, ‘It’s more like awakening some sleeping giants. And setting them to work.’

Logicalis has pledged to use its Oracle product knowledge to stop that happening by bringing out the full value of all the client’s existing systems.

“We’re drawing on deep reserves of Oracle expertise across the Logicalis group,” explained Benson, platform head of business development at Logicalis UK, “as well as bringing in colleagues with strong Oracle backgrounds.”

Oracle is one of the few vendors to offer the complete technology stack across the entire system. There is a huge opportunity for Oracle’s UK partners to coax a better performance from existing systems and use their experience to help companies with the complex challenge of cloud integration, according to Mike Handley, head of Oracles UK channel.

“Logicalis is an ideal business coach,” said Handley. “They are close enough to know our products, but objective enough to coax the very best performances out of them.”

Oracle’s open and comprehensive product strategy provides customers with a broad choice across the entire IT infrastructure. Logicalis’ customers around the world are already benefiting from this product offering, and now customers in the UK can too.

The relationship brings the number of Logicalis strategic partners to 13 and continues the focus on emerging and innovative technologies.
